Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – In anticipation of the bad weather forecast for later this afternoon and tonight, the public engagement session on the North Park Intersection Redesign project has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6, from 7-9 p.m. at the Halifax Forum, 6209 Almon St., in the Maritime Hall building.

Forecasts are calling for a nor’easter to hit the Halifax area around lunchtime today, bringing as much as 20 centimetres of heavy, blowing snow mixed with ice pellets.

This week’s meeting is the second public engagement session on the North Park Intersection Redesign project. At the meeting staff members will unveil the first round of design drawings and gather feedback on opportunities for active transportation, outdoor art and new public spaces. That input will help to develop the final round of design drawings, which will go to Regional Council for final approval in the coming weeks.
