Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that sections of Queen Street and Clyde Street in Halifax will be closed to traffic this weekend to facilitate the installation of underground pipes in the area.

Starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, Queen will shut down between Spring Garden Road and Morris Street, and Clyde will close from Queen to Birmingham Street. The roads will remain closed to traffic overnight and are expected to reopen when the work is complete, at about 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30.

Crews on site will facilitate access for local traffic only and pedestrians will continue to have access to the sidewalks along both streets. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes while this closure is in place. The municipality regrets any inconvenience these closures or the road work may cause.
