Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – Due to the forecast storm, municipal recreation programs scheduled for tonight have been cancelled and several municipal recreation facilities are closing at 3 p.m. this afternoon.
Residents are advised to call ahead to their respective facility for further updates on closures, cancellations and delays. Contact information for municipally operated facilities is online at http://www.halifax.ca/rec/reccentres.php.
Staff will be monitoring the weather forecasts and will make a decision later tonight on any impact to services for Tuesday morning.
Further updates on closures, cancellations or delayed openings for recreation programs and services will be shared via a Public Service Announcement, the municipal government Twitter account (@hfxgov) and on the municipal Snow page at www.halifax.ca/snow.
