Friday, May 30, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Residents are invited to an open house on Thursday, June 5, to see how the public’s feedback was incorporated into the final design for a new building at the Emera Oval.
In February 2013, the Halifax Regional Municipality and DSRA Architecture hosted a hands-on workshop aimed at generating ideas for the character and use of a new building associated with the Emera Oval, on the north Halifax Common. Participants learned about similar civic projects and worked in groups to explore how best to use and organize this public space.
The final design is now complete. The municipality and DSRA are hosting the open house to present the final design and answer any questions residents may have.
The event will be held at the Atlantica Hotel, 1980 Robie St., from 7-8:30 p.m. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and DSRA representatives will begin their presentation at 7 p.m.
