Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that another two blocks of Queen Street in Halifax will be temporarily closed to traffic on Thursday, Sept. 4, to facilitate the installation of water and sewer pipes in the area.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Queen Street will be shut down between South Street and Fenwick Street.
The sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians and crews will accommodate local traffic during the closure. However, there will be some delays due to this work and other road construction in the area. Motorists are strongly advised to use alternative routes, if possible. The street is expected to reopen at about 6 p.m. on Thursday.
The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this closure or the installation work may cause.
