Tuesday, May 6, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – On Wednesday, May 7, Rainnie Drive will be closed for one day from Gottingen Street to the intersection of Cogswell/North Park/Ahern/Trollope. This is due to the final reinstatement of pavement in the trench area affected by the new natural gas main along Cogswell Street. The pipe installation was completed back in December. As winter conditions have been lifted, the contractors are now returning to pave the affected sections permanently.
The work will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The traffic signals will remain operational during the construction.
Motorists should expect delays in the area and are encouraged to use alternative routes.
Heritage Gas and Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
