The Old Sambro Road is now re-opened to traffic in both directions after it was closed following the discovery of a suspicious package inside a residence.
Officers assigned to the Explosive Disposal Unit have removed the suspicious package and will be conducting further testing to determine its composition.
The matter is ongoing at this time and information will be released as it is available.
