Robbery Charges

A male youth is facing charges following a robbery that occurred last month in Halifax.

On January 11, at 11:30 p.m., a 21-year-old man got off the ferry in Halifax and was walking in the area of the Historic Properties, heading towards the Marriot Hotel. He was approached by two suspects from behind who shoved him against a wall and poked something in his back. The suspects searched his pockets and took his iPhone 5C. The suspects fled the area on foot running towards Lower Water Street. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

On February 18, investigators arrested a 23-year-old man from Dartmouth. He faces charges of robbery and breach of probation and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
