Last night at 8:24 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to an assault on Alfred Street in Dartmouth near the catwalk over Victoria Road.
Upon arrival the victim stated he was jumped and knocked to the ground by an unknown man who took his wallet which contained identification and cash.
Officers checked the area with the assistance of a K9 Unit but the suspect could not be located.
The suspect is described as a white man, wearing a light coloured hoodie, light pants and a dark jacket over top. The investigation is ongoing.
