UPDATE:  Halifax Regional Police arrested a 27-year-old man in connection to the robbery at the Joseph Howe Drive Shoppers Drug Mart earlier this evening. The man was arrested without incident in the 200 block of Victoria Road in Dartmouth. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court later this morning. He faces one count of robbery and four counts of breaching a probation order.

At approximately 5:50 p.m. on November 18, officers responded to a robbery at the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 3430 Joseph Howe Drive in Halifax.

A man entered the store and approached the pharmacy counter gesturing as if he had a firearm in his jacket. The suspect demanded specific pills from the Pharmacist. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of pills and got into an awaiting vehicle. Staff at the store were not injured. 

The suspect is a male with a dark complexion, medium build, believed to be in his 30 with a dark brown mustache and chin strap goatee. He was wearing a black ball cap with white markings, a black zip up bomber style rain jacket and dark pants.

The suspect vehicle is described as a medium size four-door sedan.
