At 8:14 pm October 11 Halifax Regional Police responded to the Needs located at 265 Baker Drive in Dartmouth for a robbery. The suspect entered the store and asked for a package of cigarettes. When the clerk asked for ID he produced a large steak knife and demanded cash. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store. Patrol and a K9 unit checked the area but the suspect could not be located. The suspect is described a white male, early 20s, skinny wearing a white hoodie and black jeans. The investigation is continuing.
