Today at 3:54 p.m. near the corner of Queen Street and Morris Street in Halifax, a man was approached by a suspect who threatened to stab him if he did not turn over his cell phone. No weapon was seen and the victim was not injured. Patrol officers set up containment in the area and the male suspect was located in the vicinity. He is currently in police custody.
The matter is in the early stages of the investigation by the Integrated General Investigation.
