Halifax Regional Police have laid charges against two people in relation to the robbery of a 39-year-old cab driver. The 26-year-old woman and 23-year-old man from the Halifax area are each facing charges of: 

  • Robbery
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering Threats
  • Possession of a Weapon Dangerous 

Both of the accused remain in police custody at this time and will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Court this morning.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday at 5:40 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery of a taxi driver in the 3800 block of Joseph Howe Drive in Halifax.

A cab driver reported that he was robbed at knifepoint by two parties he had picked up. The man received minor injuries during the incident and was treated and released at the scene by EHS. Police now have two people in custody for the robbery, an adult man and woman. 

Members of the Integrated General Investigation Section are pursuing this investigation.
