Halifax Regional Police is advising citizens of a number of cases where rocks have been thrown at vehicles over the last week.

On May 1, police were called to the area of Slayter Street and Nantucket Road in Dartmouth for a report of three men throwing rocks at vehicles driving on Slayter Street. Last night, officers responded to three separate complaints regarding property damage to vehicles near the same area. Each of last night’s incidents involved vehicles travelling along Victoria Road near Farrell Street between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. when their cars were struck with rocks.  There were no reported injuries.

This is an extremely dangerous activity that has caused a lot of damage, and could result in vehicle collisions. Halifax Regional Police has increased patrols of these areas and is requesting the public's assistance in curbing this senseless and dangerous crime trend.
