Today at 1:50 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision. The car was driving down Dartmouth Road in Bedford when it swerved across the centre line and into oncoming lanes of traffic. It then went off the road, over an embankment, flipped and lodged itself in a brook near 39 Dartmouth Road.It is believed that the woman driving the car may have had suffered a medical related issue prior to the collision. She was taken to hospital by ambulance for a medical assessment. A crane was required to lift the car out of the water.
