Friday, August 21, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that tomorrow, August 22, stop-and-go traffic will be required on South Park Street between Spring Garden Road and University Avenue. This is to enable ongoing work by Dexter Construction on behalf of Dalhousie University to install infrastructure between Dalhousie’s Carleton Campus and Sexton Campus. The stop-and-go traffic will begin after 10 a.m. and is expected to conclude in the early afternoon.
The project is following the general route of College Street, Summer Street, University Avenue, South Park Street, and Clyde Street, then crossing Queen Street to the Sexton Campus. The municipality will continue to post updates on traffic conditions as the work progresses. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. Dalhousie University and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause. -30-
