UPDATE
August 30 - A man was arrested without incident and is being held for court on Tuesday. He will be charged with attempted murder, possession of weapons dangerous, assault with a weapon, breach of recognizance and breach of probation.

On August 29, at 4:30 p.m., HRP received numerous 911 calls advising that a person was stabbed in the 200 block of Wyse Road in Dartmouth. Numerous police units responded to the area where it was learned that there was an altercation between two groups of people resulting in one man, in his early 30's, receiving a stab wound. The victim was transported to the Dartmouth General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This is not believed to be a random act. Currently the investigation is being conducted by the General Investigative Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division and they have four people in custody regarding this incident.
