UPDATE to Stabbing - April 4

On April 4th, 2015 police charged 36-year-old James Tracy of Halifax with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon. Mr. Tracy has been remanded to the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Tuesday May 7th.

On April 3, at 5:03 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the 2100 block of Barrington Street in Halifax in relation to a report that a man had been stabbed. The man was located by police and transported to hospital by EHS to be treated for a non-life threatening injury. HRP is in the early stages of this investigation however investigators from our Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Section are currently following up.
