Forest fire near Big Indian Lake – July 30, 5:45 p.m.

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency (HRFE) and the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources (NSDNR) are on the scene of a forest fire on Pipeline Road in Head of St. Margarets Bay, in the vicinity of the south end of Big Indian Lake.

Wildfire near Big Indian Lake – July 30, 8:40 p.m.

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources (NSDNR) has confirmed the wildfire on Pipeline Road in Head of St. Margarets Bay, near the south end of Big Indian Lake, is currently contained.

Date: Wednesday, July 30

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Work details: This work is to facilitate sidewalk and asphalt restoration.

Traffic impact: The eastbound lane and sidewalk on Albro Lake Road will be closed. Traffic will be asked to follow signed detour.

Détails des travaux : Ces travaux visent à faciliter la restauration des trottoirs et de l’asphalte.

Incidence sur la circulation : La voie en direction est et le trottoir sur la route Albro Lake seront fermés. La circulation sera priée de suivre le détour indiqué.
