Tuesday, June 30, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that starting Thursday, July 2, Summer Street in Halifax will be closed to northbound traffic between College Street and University Avenue as crews continue installing water pipes in the area.
This work is being done on behalf of Dalhousie University. The closure will go into effect at 8 a.m. and is scheduled to be complete by Friday, July 10, depending on the weather.
The southbound side of Summer Street, which is currently closed, will reopen prior to the northbound side closing. Crews will continue to accommodate access for local traffic only. The street will remain closed overnight; however, pedestrians will still be able to walk through the area at all times.
The municipality and the university regret any inconvenience this work may cause.
