Targeted street restrictions in peninsular Halifax

The Halifax Regional Municipality is imposing targeted street restrictions in peninsular Halifax over the coming days, beginning Thursday, Sept. 12.

The restrictions range from street closures to parking bans. Refer to the information below for specific details.

The restrictions are necessary to facilitate tree removal operations in the area.

1736 Chestnut St. Closed to all but local traffic, no parking from Cedar to Jubilee
977 Young Northbound traffic closed to all but local, no parking Inglis to Atlantic

Prohibited parking signage will be in place where necessary and vehicles will be towed if they are impeding the work of tree-removal crews.

Traffic control personnel will be on site wherever necessary.
