Theft of urn

Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public's assistance recovering a funeral urn stolen from a vehicle last Friday in Halifax.

On April 17, police received a call from a resident of Sumac Lane who returned home to find that someone had broken into her vehicle between 11 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. while it was parked in the driveway. The suspect stole a number of items from the vehicle including an urn containing a family member's ashes and a framed piece of art. The urn is greyish/blue in color and approximately 10" tall by 4" wide. The framed piece of art is described as a pen and ink multimedia Chinese painting, approximately 30" by 14" with a grey metal frame and white matting.
