Officers assigned to the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have arrested a third man in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on July 2 in Halifax.
On July 2 at 2:50 a.m., police responded to an assault call on Grafton Street near Prince Street. A 21-year-old man from Dartmouth was located at the scene with facial injuries and was transported to the hospital where his medical condition worsened. Officers were able to obtain descriptions of the possible suspects and the vehicle in which they fled. Approximately three hours later, officers responded to another unrelated altercation when a vehicle matching the description was stopped leaving the scene of this incident. As a result, 18-year-old Ky McKenna-Brown of Dartmouth was arrested and charged in relation to the assault.
The investigation continued and at 11:48 p.m. on July 4, police arrested and charged 19-year-old Bryce Anthony Brooks.
A third man, 20-year-old Gregory Dylan Farrell of Dartmouth, was arrested last night without incident at approximately 6:30 p.m. at a business in the 100 block of Akerley Boulevard in Dartmouth. He is scheduled to attend Halifax Provincial court today to face charges of aggravated assault and robbery.
