Two men face charges as a result of a traffic stop yesterday in Dartmouth.
At 11:50 p.m. on January 21, members of the East Quick Response Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 300 block of Pleasant Street in Dartmouth. A search of the vehicle was conducted and officers located quantities of cocaine, marihuana and prescription medication, as well as cash, digital scales and a cell phone. The two male occupants of the vehicle were arrested at the scene, without incident.
A 26-year-old man from Dartmouth was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis, obstruction of police officer, three counts of breach of probation and two counts of breach of recognizance.
A 25-year-old man, also from Dartmouth, was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis, breach of probation and five counts of breach of recognizance.
Both parties appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
