Two people arrested after weapons call GO#19-173036

On December 8 at 2:18 a.m., Halifax Regional Police members were present at Argyle Street and Grafton Street. Officers observed a physical disturbance occurring and immediately intervened. During the altercation officers observed a woman in possession of a handgun. She was immediately disarmed and taken into police custody without further incident. The handgun was seized by police. There were no injuries. Several people involved in the physical disturbance fled the scene when the handgun was observed. Police have a 22-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man in custody facing several firearms related changes. The incident remains under investigation.
