The man arrested inside the Dartmouth Sportsplex shortly after the shooting (23-years-old, of Dartmouth) will be charged with a number of firearms related offences, including discharging a firearm recklessly. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Thursday. It is believed tthat approximately twenty people were inside the shop when the shooting occurred, all of whom fled and left the area prior to police arrival. Multiple shots were fired during the incident however at this time it is not believed that anyone was struck or injured by the shots. Investigators in the Integrated General Investigative Section are continuing with their investigation.
