Halifax Regional Police has charged a man and woman in connection with a robbery that occurred this morning in Dartmouth.
At 12:55 a.m., police responded to the area of Kennedy Drive and Caledonia Road in relation to a man who was robbed at knife point. The victim advised that he was robbed by a man and woman after meeting the woman on an online dating site. The victim suffered non-life threatening facial injuries after being punched and was treated at the scene by paramedics. Both suspects were arrested in the area without incident.
Thirty-one-year-old Heidi Elizabeth Heise and 34-year-old David George Moriah, both from Dartmouth, have been charged in relation to this incident. They are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today on charges of robbery with a weapon. Heise has also been charged with one count of breaching a probation order.
