Update to Robberies

Last night police arrested a 40-year-old Halifax man in the 2100 block of Barrington Street without incident in connection with numerous robberies in Halifax.  He will be facing five charges of armed robbery and two charges of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

The robberies are as follows:

-October 7 at 1:44 a.m, Needs Convenience Store located at 6130 Chebucto Road

-October 10 at 6:27 p.m., Subway located at 1560 Argyle Street

-October 10 at 8:25 p.m., TD Bank located at 6169 Quinpool Road

-October 11 at 3:05 p.m., Subway located at 6443 Quinpool Road

-October 12 at 4:55 p.m., Scotia Bank located at 6169 Quinpool Road

He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to answer to his charges.
