The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting citizens and tourists to participate in an educational hour and a half guided walk under the majestic urban canopy of peninsular Halifax.
This evening Dalhousie post-doctoral fellow Dr. James Steenberg will lead a walking tour around the streets of Halifax to talk about the challenges and rewards of maintaining a healthy urban forest in residential neighbourhoods.
Participants are asked to meet at the Halifax Common just before 6 p.m., at the corner of Cunard and North Park streets (opposite the Halifax Armoury). While the tour will have some structure to it, there’s no obligation for tour participants to remain on the tour for the entire 90 minutes.
