At approximately 7:50 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a car/pedestrian collision at the intersection of Woodlawn and Mount Edward Roads in Dartmouth. A car, driven by a 59-year-old woman, was travelling eastbound on Woodlawn Road and turning left onto the northbound section of Woodlawn Road at Mount Edward Road where a pedestrian was crossing in a marked crosswalk. The 52-year-old female pedestrian was taken to hospital by EHS paramedics for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the car was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.
