Vehicle/pedestrian collision

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred this morning in Halifax. 

Shortly after 6:30 a.m., police responded to a pedestrian/vehicle collision at the intersection of Herring Cove Road at Dentith Road. A car driven by a 34-year-old man was turning left on a green light from Dentith Road onto Herring Cove Road when it collided with a 38-year-old man in the cross walk. 

The pedestrian suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by EHS. The driver wasn’t injured. No charges have been laid and this collision remains under investigation. 

Police have since cleared the scene and Herring Cove Road has been re-opened to traffic.
