Vernon Street – Natural Gas Pipeline Installation

Monday, May 4, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that work will begin tomorrow, May 5, to extend the natural gas main on Vernon Street between Cherry Street and Coburg Road. Work will begin at the Cherry Street end of Vernon Street. On Vernon Street, from Cherry Street to Jubilee Road, no work will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The pipe installation is expected to take approximately three weeks, with permanent pavement restoration to follow.

Stop and go traffic will be in effect. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes, if possible.

Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
