Weapons Charges - Prince Albert Road

A man is facing weapons charges after discharging a sensory irritant yesterday in Dartmouth.

At approximately 3 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Prince Albert Road after a man was sprayed with a sensory irritant.  It was learned that the victim approached the suspect, who is known to him, after he observed him assaulting his dog. When the victim confronted the suspect, he sprayed him with a sensory irritant. The suspect was arrested at the scene without incident. The dog and the victim were not injured.

Twenty-six-year-old Bradley Paul Jackson of Dartmouth faces charges of possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, assault with a weapon and cruelty to an animal. He was held overnight and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
