Halifax Regional Police is currently investigating a weapons complaint in Halifax.
At approximately 10:15 p.m. police received a call regarding concerns for another person’s well-being and that they may be in possession of a firearm. The investigation led officers from patrol, ERT and K-9 to an address on Alma Crescent. Officers made contact with a female resident and had her exit the apartment at 1:28 a.m. At 3:35 a.m., a male resident exited the apartment and a few minutes later a third occupant exited the apartment. All three were taken into custody and transported to Police Headquarters.
The investigation, which will be handled by officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, is still in its early stages and no decision regarding charges has been made. A search of the residence is expected to be completed later today once a search warrant has been granted.
