On November 17, shortly after 3:30 p.m., police were called to the area of 10 Monique Court in Dartmouth after a witness reported that there was a man in the area waving a handgun. Numerous units were dispatched and a suspect was located in the area fitting the description provided by the witness, he was arrested and searched. A replica 9mm handgun was located tucked into the waistband of his pants and there was a brief struggle during the arrest. The suspect, a 15-year-old male youth, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest. He was released on an undertaking to appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court at a later date. .
