Halifax Regional Police responded to 981 calls for service over the weekend. Some notable calls are as follows:

Police arrest man for assault

On May 18 at approximately 7:40 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at The Dome Nightclub, located at 1743 Argyle Street, in Halifax where a private event was being held. Officers learned that a woman had been assaulted by a man who was not known to her while inside the nightclub.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., officers located and arrested the suspect outside without incident. There were no other reports of physical injuries.

A 41-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face a charge of assault.

Police arrest man for break and enter

On May 20 at approximately 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a break and enter in progress at the Propeller Brewing Company, located at 2015 Gottingen Street in Halifax. Upon arrival, officers noted the front window had been smashed with a rock. The suspect entered the business, took product from a fridge and then fled the scene on foot.

At approximately 2:15 a.m., officers located and arrested the suspect. 

Isaac Robert Reid, 22, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of break and enter, breach of probation order (x2) and disguise with intent.
