A male youth faces charges in connection with a hit and run collision that occurred overnight in Halifax.
At approximately 1:20 a.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Brunswick Street for a report of a hit and run collision involving a car hitting a parked vehicle. As officers arrived at the scene, the driver and passenger were observed fleeing on foot. After a short foot pursuit, two male youths were arrested in the 5400 block of Uniacke Street without incident.
A 17-year-old male youth faces charges of failing to stop at the scene of the accident and will appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court at a later date. The other male youth was released without charges.
