Police have charged a man with attempted murder after a stabbing in Halifax earlier this month.
On July 10, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a man who had been stabbed in the 2000 block of Gottingen Street. The 45-year-old victim was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The victim and suspect were not known to each other but had an argument prior to the assault taking place.
On July 24, at approximately 8:00 a.m., police executed two search warrants at two residences on Nova Court, in Dartmouth. A vehicle was seized, and a 30-year-old man was arrested.
Donavin Andrew Diggs will appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:
- Attempted murder
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
