GO#14-144289 Police investigate robbery

At 4:10 p.m. members of Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery in progress that was occurring at the Medicine Shoppe at 70 Lacewood Dr. in Halifax. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival; multiple units attended but the suspect wasn't located. The follow-up investigation revealed that the suspect had entered the store, loitered around for approximately 1 minute before approaching the employee at the counter, and then threatened the clerk and demanded money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was used during the offence and the clerk wasn't  injured during this incident.

Investigators assigned to the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are currently pursuing this investigation. The suspect is described as a black man, 25-30 years of age, slim build, approx. 5’6” – 5’8” and 140 lbs. He had  a protruding chin and teeth and was wearing a purple hoodie with a black jacket over it, blue jeans and dark shoes.
