UPDATE - September 13, 2015 (1:40 p.m.)

At 2:50 a.m. on September 13, police responded to a report of a robbery at the Atlantica Hotel on Robie Street in Halifax. Three men knocked at the door and rushed into a hotel room occupied by a 16 year-old female youth and an 18-year-old woman. One of the men had a handgun and another one punched the female youth in the face. The suspects took electronic items belonging to the 16-year-old victim and left the room. It is not believed the victim knew the suspects but investigators are exploring the possibility that the other woman may have known them.

Three men were arrested at a residence in the 5000 block of South Street earlier today and are currently in police custody. A 21-year-old Halifax man, and two Dartmouth men, aged 18 and 25, will be charged with robbery and weapons offences. All three will be appearing in Halifax Court on Monday.
