Last night, shortly before 10:00 p.m., patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by three men travelling in the 0-100 block of Rolekia Drive in Dartmouth. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for impaired driving at the time of the stop and further investigation yielded a firearm inside the vehicle. Two 22-year-old passengers, along with a the 20-year-old driver were arrested for numerous weapon related charges and breaching court orders. The driver of the vehicle is also being charged with impaired driving. The men are all currently in custody with Halifax Regional Police and the investigation is ongoing.
