GO # 16-97482 - Robbery

At 11 p.m. on July 1,  a 24-year-old man approached a marked police unit advising he was just robbed while walking through Flinn Park on Flinn Street in Halifax. The victim was approached from behind by the suspect who demanded his money. The victim was physically assaulted and relieved of his cigarettes.  During the incident, a second suspect remained a short distance away not involving himself in the physical confrontation. Both suspects walked from the scene towards Quinpool Road then towards Chebucto Road.

The  first suspect is described as a black man in his early 20’s, 6’3”, slim build, wearing white shorts, a red shirt with a Canadian flag and dark sneakers. The second suspect described as a younger black male.

The victim was treated near the scene by EHS for minor injuries.  The investigation remains ongoing and investigators are asking anyone who has information about this incident or who witnessed it to call 902-490-5020.
