Police Charge Three after Drug Search

Three people face charges after a drug search last night in Halifax.

At approximately 8 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit, assisted by officers from the Central Quick Response Unit, conducted a search of an apartment in the 2700 block of Clifton Street. Three people were arrested without incident at the scene and the subsequent search resulted in officers seizing a quantity of crack cocaine, oxycodone, cash and drug paraphernalia. Officers also seized a handgun and ammunition.

Fifty-two-year-old Susan Ann Hawes, 31-year-old William Lee Bolliver and 46-year-old Harold William Marshall, all of Halifax, were held in custody and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday on the following charges:

5.2 CDSA – Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine

5.2 CDSA – Possession for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone

4.1 CDSA – Possession of marijuana

86(1) CCC- Careless storage of ammunition

86(2) CCC – Contravention of storage regulations

95(1) CCC – Possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition

92(2) CCC – Unauthorized possession of a firearm without holding a license

88(1) CCC – Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace

91(2) CCC- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon without holding a registration certificate.

Hawes also faces three counts of breach of a recognizance and one count of breach of a probation order.
