Towing

There is a variety of parking restrictions and signage posted around Halifax Regional Municipality. Please read the signage carefully, including any hourly restrictions. In the event there are multiple signs on a post, read them from top to bottom.

Vehicles may be subject to towing for any safety-related violation at the discretion of the officer (ie: no Stopping zones, blocking driveways, blocking fire hydrants, stop signs, etc.)

What to do if your car has been towed

Search our online portal to find your vehicle. If your vehicle is listed, please contact the tow company who has your vehicle listed in the “Towing Company/Compound”. To get your vehicle back, you'll need a valid driver’s license, keys to vehicle, and money to pay tow company. If your vehicle is towed, you retrieve it at your own expense.
