On March 22, at 4:40 a.m. members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to an alarm call at Clayton Park Junior High School located at 45 Plateau Crescent in Halifax. Upon arrival, officers located a smashed window on the west side of the building. Containment was setup, a K-9 unit was called in and additional patrol units were brought in to check the surrounding area. Officers entered the school and it was determined that entry had been made into the building by a suspect(s).
Approximately 7 minutes after police arrival on-scene three persons were located in close proximity to the school by patrol officers. These suspects were taken into custody, questioned and subsequently charged for the break and enter into the school. Three 18-year-old men from the Halifax area have been charged with Break and Enter & Property Damage, all three have been released on conditions and will be appearing in court at a later date to answer to the charges.
