Halifax Regional Police officers attended Trollop Street at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 in relation to a report of a suspicious package located in the field on the west side of the street. Trollop Street was shut down and a member of the Explosive Device Unit attended this location to examine the device. The package, a cardboard cylinder, was determined not to be suspicious after all and that it didn't pose a threat to the public. The area was reopened at 5:40 p.m.
