Thursday, Nov.20, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to the annual Halifax Christmas Tree lighting event taking place this Saturday, Nov. 22, at Grand Parade.
Residents and families of all ages will enjoy this event which includes: a live stage show featuring the Octonauts, Christmas music by the Big Fish band, the official lighting of the tree, a visit from Santa, and fireworks. When: Saturday, Nov. 22, 6 – 7 p.m.
Where: Grand Parade, Halifax
Please note that Argyle Street, from Duke Street to Carmichael Street, will be closed on Saturday from 5 – 7:30 p.m. to accommodate this event. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to take caution when travelling in the downtown core due to the large number of people expected to attend the tree lighting.
