Police and paramedics received a 911 call from a person who found the victim. Forensic Investigators have just left the scene and will be returning in the morning, the scene will remain held until the completion of their work.
Police have determined the victim in this matter is a fifty-eight-year-old women from Dartmouth and we will not be releasing her name pending notification next of kin.

Police at scene of suspicious death
Police are currently at the scene of a suspicious death in Dartmouth.
At approximately 1:09 p.m. today, Halifax Regional Police responded to a sudden death call at a home on Farquharson Street. Responding officers located a deceased person inside; the gender and age of the deceased are not being released at this time, pending next of kin notification.
Investigators in the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are in the preliminary stages of the investigation into this suspicious death and Forensic Identification Officers are currently processing the scene.
