Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 (Halifax, NS) - The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that there will be no municipal solid waste collection service provided on Remembrance Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11. Curbside collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled for Remembrance Day will occur the preceding Saturday, Nov. 8.
The Otter Lake Waste Processing and Disposal Facilities, the two composting facilities and the municipal recycling plant will be closed on Remembrance Day, but will be open on Saturday, Nov. 8 with regular operating hours.
The municipality’s residential Household Special Waste (HSW) Depot will be closed Saturday, Nov. 8 but will be open on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
