The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents of an upcoming public hearing on proposed amendments to the 2014 Regional Plan and all supporting planning documents to address provincial housing supply requirements.
The municipality is bringing forward amendments to address the Minimum Planning Requirements and other matters of provincial interest to the existing 2014 Regional Plan and supporting planning documents. These changes are necessary to meet provincial requirements related to housing supply, including the Minimum Planning Requirements. Regional Council has scheduled a public heating for the amendments on Dec. 11, 2025, at 1 p.m. in Council Chambers at Halifax City Hall,1841 Argyle Street, Halifax, N.S.
In accordance with the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter, adoption of the Regional Plan and other planning documents is subject to provincial review and approval.

La municipalité propose des changements à la planification afin de satisfaire aux exigences provinciales en matière d’offre de logements
La municipalité régionale de Halifax informe les résidents de la tenue prochaine d’une audition publique concernant les modifications proposées au plan régional de 2014 et à l’ensemble des documents de planification à l’appui afin de satisfaire aux exigences provinciales en matière d’offre de logements.
La municipalité propose des modifications pour répondre aux exigences minimales en matière de planification et à d’autres questions d’intérêt provincial relatives au plan régional de 2014 en vigueur et aux documents de planification à l’appui. Ces changements sont nécessaires pour satisfaire aux exigences provinciales liées à l’offre de logements, notamment les exigences minimales en matière de planification. Le Conseil régional a prévu de tenir une audition publique concernant les modifications le 11 décembre 2025 à 13 h dans la salle du conseil de l’hôtel de ville de Halifax au 1841, rue Argyle, à Halifax (N.-É.)
Conformément à la Halifax Regional Municipality Charter (en anglais), l’adoption du plan régional et d’autres documents de planification est assujettie à l’examen et à l’approbation du gouvernement provincial.
